This notice serves to place an erratum in respect of the advertisement issued on 11 December 2024, Reference Number: MN3829/24 containing the vacancy advertisement for Tractor Driver: Parks Section x 2 which closes on 16 January 2025. Applicants should NOTE that the purpose of the erratum is to correct the salary scale to the 2024/2025 salary and wage curve collective agreement.

Salary Scale applicable:

SALARY: R 181 680.00 pa – R 197 088.00 pa (Level 11 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 317 070.32 pa

REQUIREMENTS

-Grade 10. -Grade 12 added advantage. -Tractor operating certificate -Valid code B driver’s license. -Physically fit and knowledge of operating a tractor and slasher. -Experience relating to grass cutting with a tractor and slasher. -A hard-working self-disciplined person. -Excellent driving skills. -1 year relevant experience within a local government authority working at Parks.

DUTIES

-Operating a tractor to execute duties including grass cutting, maintenance of parks, open spaces and pavements. -Responsible for maintenance and safety checks on tractor and slasher. -Execute duties according to work schedule/programme. -Putting out traffic signs to warn traffic and public about work in progress. -To work full day in alternative short Fridays (Pay day). -Any ad hoc garden or parks duties as and when requested by Management.

SALARY: R 181 680.00 pa – R 197 088.00 pa (Level 11 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
