REQUIREMENTS

- Grade 12. - Technical Qualification in Roads & Stormwater will be an added advantage. – Code C1 driver’s licence with PDP. - Excellent communication, reading and writing skills. - Experience in road building, road maintenance and storm water, concrete work and general civil engineering building work. - A hard working and self-disciplined person. – Two (2) or more years’ experience in operating road marking machine, certificate in arc and CO2 welding and installation of road signs and other road work machinery and or equipment will be an added advantage. - A hard working and self-disciplined person. - Two to three (2-3) years’ relevant experience within a roads & stormwater environment of a municipality or a similar roads environment.

 

DUTIES

-Ensure optimised productivity within the Roads & Storm Water Section. - Supervise and assist the labourer team to ensure that all road & storm water activities are well maintained by authorising works-orders. - Measuring the work performance of the labourer team to ensure productivity and quality work output. - Ensuring discipline and control of all activities and personnel in the section in order to keep discipline on an acceptable standard. - Responsible for equipment (including vehicles), material and tools required on-site. - Responsible for the safety of the labourer team. - Responsible for admin duties including time sheets, leave applications, asset register and clock cards. - Perform any other related ad hoc tasks as instructed by the Supervisor from time to time.

             

SALARY          R 257 424,00 p.a. – R 294 048,00 p.a.  (Level 08 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 414 100,88 p.a.
