REQUIREMENTS

-Grade 12. - National Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or equivalent NQF6 qualification. - Driver’s License added advantage. - Computer Literate (MS Office, Solar). - Knowledge and understanding of the MFMA and Supply Chain Management prescripts. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) - Skills and Competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office/diary management skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail. - 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain Management and Procurement within Local Government

 

DUTIES

-Obtain quotations for miscellaneous and specific transactions. - Assisting with the new and current vendor applications on Smart Gov/Solar. - Ensure implementation of the existing contracts, Supply Chain Management policy and regulations. - Fill out / signs requisitions for external purchases. - Preparing and placing orders with suppliers. - Periodically follow up on outstanding orders and generally liaises with suppliers. - Implement proper record keeping of Supply Chain Management processes and documentation. - Liaise with suppliers and end users. - Ensure proper record keeping of Supply Chain Management related documentation. - Assist with bid committees as and when required. - Assist with the opening of bids. - Perform any other related Ad Hoc task and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

 

SALARY:        R 257 424.00 – R 294 048.00 p.a.  (Level 08 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

              Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 414 100.88 p.a.
