REQUIREMENTS

 

-Grade 12. - National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent NQF qualification. - Driver’s License added advantage. - Computer Literate (MS Office, Solar). - Knowledge and understanding of the MFMA. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) - Skills and Competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office/diary management skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail. - 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience in Debt Collection within Local Government.

 

DUTIES

 

-Handle enquiries from debtors: - Arrangements, final notices and handover accounts for collection to ensure an effective service to the public. - All queries with attorneys regarding handovers. - Giving up to date information needed for legal procedures to recover arrears and minimize outstanding debt. - Assisting with indigent queries and registrations. - Administration process regarding indigent policy. - Journals by correcting handover accounts to ensure that corrections are done as soon as possible for effective service delivery. - Perform any other related Ad Hoc task and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

 

SALARY:  R 246 336.00 – R 281 388.00 p.a.  (Level 08 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

   Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 396 667.92 p.a.
