This notice serves to place an erratum in respect of the advertisement issued on 19 March 2025, Reference Number: MN3877/25 containing the vacancy advertisement for RE-ADVERTISEMENT: Tractor Driver: Parks Section which closes on 10 April 2025. Applicants should NOTE that the purpose of the erratum is to inform of the salary adjustment based on the 2024/2025 salary and wage collective agreement. Candidates that applied should note the salary adjustment is as follows:
Job level 11 of a Grade 4 Local Authority –
Salary: R 184 404,00 pa – R200 040.00 pa
Total Cost to Company R320 538.00 pa
REQUIREMENTS
-Grade 10. -Grade 12 added advantage. -Tractor operating certificate will be an added advantage -Valid driver’s license. -Physically fit and knowledge of operating a tractor and slasher. -Experience relating to grass cutting with a tractor and slasher. -A hard-working self-disciplined person. -Excellent driving skills. -1 year relevant experience within a local government authority working at Parks.
DUTIES
-Operating a tractor to execute duties including grass cutting, maintenance of parks, open spaces and pavements. -Responsible for maintenance and safety checks on tractor and slasher. -Execute duties according to work schedule/programme. -Putting out traffic signs to warn traffic and public about work in progress. -To work full day in alternative short Fridays (Pay day). -Any ad hoc garden or parks duties as and when requested by Management.
SALARY R184 404.00 p.a.– R 200 040.00 p.a.(Level 11 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 320 538.00 p.a.
