REQUIREMENTS

 

-Grade 10. - Grade 12 added advantage. - Operators certificate (bush cutter/ride-on lawnmower/chainsaw) will be added advantage. - Driver’s License added advantage. - Physically fit and knowledge of operating various hand and garden tools. - Experience relating to bush cutting, grass cutting and tree cutting. - Experience with Ride –on lawnmowers. - A hard-working self-disciplined person. - 1-year relevant experience in Parks Section within Local Government Authority responsible for maintenance of Garden Facilities, Parks and Bushes. Preference will be given to Midvaal residents, that meet requirements of the role.

 

DUTIES

 

-Perform physical labour to maintain and clean parks, cemeteries and flowerbeds by using bush cutters, ride-on lawnmowers, tree cutting equipment and using various hand tools and equipment to clean the area. - Responsible for safe usage and maintenance of machines. - Picking up all rubble, garden refuse, etc. in flowerbeds or on sport fields. - Watering of flowerbeds and lawns. - Put out traffic signs to warn traffic about workers next to municipal roads. - Use hand tools to perform duties when machines are out of order or during winter months. - Clean parks and cemeteries when necessary. - Do winter treatment of all sport fields during winter months. - Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested by management (supervisor) from time to time. - To work full day on alternative short Fridays (Pay Day)

 

 

         

SALARY: R174 012.00 p.a. – R193 644.00 p.a. (Level 12 of a Grade 4 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R312 707.84 p.a.
