REQUIREMENTS

 

-Grade 10. -Grade 12 will be an added advantage. - Recognised Grader operating certificate. – Code C1 driver’s licence with PDP.  Experience in operating a grader, TLB and other road work machinery and or equipment will be an added advantage. - A hard working and self-disciplined person. - A hard working and self-disciplined person. - Two to three (2-3) years’ relevant experience in operating a Grader Machine. -Experience in roads & stormwater within a local government authority will be an added advantage.

 

DUTIES

 

Responsible for loading and off-loading of material and equipment with right equipment to ensure safety of co-workers and the enhancement of productivity within the section.  -Operating machinery for daily productivity of work and ensures that safety and traffic rules are followed. -Ensure and protect the vehicle in use and the work area with road signs for the safety of road users like public and vehicles during the excavation process. -Operates the Grader for general road excavations to ensure effective construction and maintenance of roads related matters. -Co-operates fully and consult with the supervisors of the section through receiving and dispatching of works orders to ensure productivity as a prime work purpose to fulfil the service delivery to the rate payers of the council. -Perform any other related ad hoc tasks as instructed by the Supervisor from time to time

SALARY          R 274 380.00 – R 313 416.00 p.a.  (Level 08 of a Grade 4 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 439 507.40 p.a.
