REQUIREMENTS

 

 

-Grade 10. - Grade 12 will be an added advantage. - Technical qualification in Plumbing will be an added advantage. - Code 10 driver’s licence with valid PDP. - Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. - Skills & competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict & stress management, negotiation skills, problem-solving skills, strong administrative skills. - Must be able to read, write and manage the sub-section to consist over the necessary technical skills to perform duties. - 2-3 years’ relevant experience and knowledge in water reticulation within Local Government authority or Government entity. - Preference will be given to residents of Midvaal Local Municipality.

 

DUTIES

 

 

- To supervise and the team members to ensure that all water reticulation activities are executed in terms of work orders received and instructions. - Driving heavy motor vehicles and transporting labourer team to and from work sites. - Assists in the maintenance of water reticulation supply systems. - Loading and off-loading of materials and equipment. - Responsible for general maintenance of equipment used. - Responsible for general administration and filing of works-orders. - Responsible for productive and effective use of equipment and resources to ensure effective service delivery. - Responsible for discipline and control over subordinates. - Attend to public complaints as per instruction of a supervisor. - Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (Supervisor) from time to time.

SALARY          R 240 288.00 – R 268 596.00 p.a.  (Level 09 of a Grade 4 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 395 369.84 p.a.
