REQUIREMENTS

 

-Grade 12 -National Diploma in -Transport, Logistics, Fleet Management or equivalent NQF level 6. -B-degree in Transport, Logistics, Fleet Management or equivalent NQF level 7 will be an added advantage. -Valid code 08 Driver’s license (PDP added advantage) -Computer Literacy (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint) -Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills -Competent in interpretation, implementation and enforcement of relevant legislation and applicable policies -Skills & Competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict & stress management, negotiation skills & problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail -Project management and financial management skills & experience -Knowledge and understanding of fleet services, maintenance and repairs -Knowledge and understanding of finance principles pertaining to procurement (SCM) and budget -Hard working, self-motivated and self-disciplined person- Knowledge and extensive understanding of a fleet management system with 5 - 10 years’ relevant experience dealing with fleet management within a local authority or similar environment dealing with a large fleet.

 

DUTIES

 

-Coordinates the Licensing of Fleet and Cof’s. -Coordinates the procurement and delivery of fleet and repair requests. -Supervise vehicle servicing, delivery and support operations and monitoring and controlling Council’s Fleet/monitoring of vehicles tracking system and drive behaviour. -Responsible for the procurement of services and maintenance required -Procurement of service parts needed for routine maintenance and repairs -General administration of Council’s fleet – prepare transport forecast needs analysis, compile replacement programme and schedules of municipal fleet -Identify and compile financial requirements for all capital needs concerning fleet management -Reporting to Council on monthly basis -General administrative duties pertaining to the position -Budget management for effective operations and maintenance of the fleet. -Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time

 

    SALARY          R 462 600.00 – R 507 732.00 p.a.  (Level 05 of a Grade 8 Local Authority)

                              Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 679 616.04 p.a.
