This notice serves to place an erratum in respect of the advertisement issued on 11 December 2024, Reference Number: MN3818/24 containing the vacancy advertisement for Assistant Technician: Wayleaves which closes on 15 January 2025. Applicants should NOTE that the purpose of the erratum is to correct the salary scale to the 2024/2025 salary and wage curve collective agreement.

 

Salary Scale applicable:

SALARY: R 366 012.00 pa – R 404 292.00 pa (Level 06 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 554 031.72 pa

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant National Diploma in Civil Engineering with a basic knowledge of Spatial Planning. B-Degree in Civil Engineering with a basic knowledge of Spatial Planning will be an added advantage. -Professional Registration certificate with ECSA will be an added advantage. - Meet MFMA minimum competency requirements or qualify for dispensation. - Valid driver’s License. - Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Projects). - Project Management & Financial Management skills & experience. - Competent in implementation, interpretation & enforcement of relevant legislation and applicable policies. - Proven management skills including analytical thinking, empowerment, adaptability, communication & interpersonal, leadership skills, conceptual skills, presentation skills, conflict and stress management skills, negotiation skills, attention to detail, Report writing skills. - Proven knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles and techniques. - A minimum of 03-05 years’ relevant experience within Local Government Authority.

 

DUTIES

-To engage with Line Departments and Wayleave applicants and involved in the procedural aspects and solutions to obtain the required Wayleaves application and permit approvals timeously. - To prepare and administer Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitor performance with respect to the terms and conditions, timeframes, processes and formal requests required. - Build and maintain relationships with all involved public and private stakeholders. - To provide Wayleave coordination and administrative support. - To manage applicant expectations and minimise complaints. - To monitor the performance of the Line Departments according to the SLAs and escalate to the manager when required. - To identify bottlenecks in all Wayleave administrative functions, wayleave application and permit reviews. - To undertake dispute resolution in relation to Wayleave. - Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time.

 

SALARY: R 366 012.00 pa – R 404 292.00 pa (Level 06 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
