REQUIREMENTS

 

-Grade 12.- National Diploma in Town Planning qualification or equivalent NQF 6. – Valid driver’s license - Computer Literate (MS Office,). Adapt easily to ITC systems- Knowledge and understanding of Building Control & Land Use policies, regulations and procedures. – Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation pertaining Local Government. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) - Skills and Competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail, Report writing skills The individual must be able to multi-task, is a team-player, pro-active. Experience in handling finances in a small to medium office. Records Management Skills. – Two to Three (2 – 3) years’ relevant experience in Land Use Management. Experience in Office Administration within Local Government Authority would be an advantage

 

DUTIES

 

-Process & comments of building plans & land use applications. -Compile Building Control & Land Use reports and letters. -Responsible for managing the municipalities portfolio of properties, -Assist in the alienation of Council owned properties, - Handling general enquiries and complaints from the public. -Issue a variety of certificates as per SPLUM Legislation. - Performs administrative support relating to filing, records management Other general administrative assistance to technical staff. Perform any other related Ad Hoc task and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

 

SALARY           R 294 900.00 – R 341 784.00 p.a.  (Level 07 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)

Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 459 520.44 p.a.
